Unverified. Before you follow the glitch you must choose to do one of the two glitch(es):
(A) Giving a normal guitarist ‘The Scythe’. Go to whatever difficulty you would like to play on, choose the Grim Ripper as a guitarist. Go to select guitar and pick the scythe, (seeing as it was the old one, read (B) for more info). Now select the preferred guitarist, and now he is using ‘The Scythe’. He only has the scythe because it didn’t go to guitar select mode like in co-operative after selecting guitarist.
– or –
(B) The Grim Ripper with a normal guitar. Go to whatever difficulty you would like to play on, choose any guitarist (except Grim Ripper), then choose your preferred guitar. Now select the Grim Ripper, it should still have your preferred guitar because it didn’t go to the guitar select screen and auto-choose scythe like in co-operative mode.
These two glitches only works in career mode.

Posted in Uncategorized on December 2, 2007 by gamingmanWhat Is Team Fortress 2?
Team Fortress 2 is the long-anticipated sequel to Team Fortress Classic (TFC), a popular add-on to the original classic game Half Life. The Team Fortress series of games is unique in the way that fast action is mixed with strategy to provide a thinking man’s online shooter that also appeals to the hardcore ‘itchy trigger finger’ fans. With unique graphics and improved technology, Team Fortress 2 has the potential to become the best class-based multiplayer game ever made. This guide is meant to inspire more people to play Team Fortress 2 by telling you everything you need to know to get started playing today.
The Point of the Game
Team Fortress drops you into an ongoing battle between the Reds and the Blues. Each team starts off in their own base with the mission of capturing the opponents’ flag, which logically resides in a place known as the Flag Room, deep inside the opponents’ base. The game is timed and the team that has captured the most flags is the winner.
Those familiar with another popular Half Life mod, CounterStrike, may notice some striking differences when they first go to play a Team Fortress game. The most dramatic is that one shot will rarely kill you. Unless you’ve been shot directly in the head by a sniper, a single hit in Team Fortress will only damage you.
Another big difference from CounterStrike is that when you are killed, rather than sit out the rest of the game, you respawn back at your base. I’m a huge fan of this, as you also then have the option to change your class and better attack the enemies weaknesses.
What You Need to Know to Play
When you first join a Team Fortress game, you will be prompted to choose which character, or class, you want to be. The classes are:
Demoman – Lobs explosives
Engineer – Builds sentries
Heavy – Machine gun
Medic – Lethal injection
Pyro – Flamethrower
Scout –Speed
Sniper – Sniper rifle
Soldier – Rocket Launcher
Spy – Stealth
Each class has different strengths as well as weaknesses that can be exploited by other classes. Experienced players will often start someone as a scout to try to steal the flag before the opponent’s defenses are set. Even if the scout is unsuccessful, they can usually see how the opponent is planning to defend the flag and relay that to his teammates so that they can choose the proper player classes to take out the defense.
If you’re inexperienced, I’d recommend going with the soldier as he is an all around character with equal amount of offensive and defensive skill. In any case, once you’ve picked your class, it’s time to play. To ‘capture the flag’, your team must pick it up from the opponents’ Flag Room and carry it back to your own Flag Room. If the flag carrier is killed while carrying the flag, it will remain at the spot it was dropped for a set amount of time. If no one on either team grabs the flag within a set amount of time, it instantly returns to its Flag Room.

Silkroad online review
Posted in Uncategorized with tags game, games, mmorpg, online, road, silk, silk road, silkroad, silkroad online on December 1, 2007 by gamingmanTHE GOOD:
Silkroad Online has everything you need in a MMORPG. If you are looking for a free online RPG game this is definitely a must-have one. You won’t find many games like this.
SUMMARY:
Silkroad Online grabbed my attention from the first moment I started playing. There are minor grammar errors here and there and conversations don’t sound natural some of the times but I blame this on the crappy translation since the game was originally designed in Korean language. The fact alone that Silkroad is now offered to English-speaking players is great and by the looks of it there is huge interest. You can see that by the number of people that play the game. The servers are almost always full to the limit. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? All those people wouldn’t waste their time if it wasn’t worth it.
Graphics:
The graphics are amazing, everything looks good and this is by far the best graphics quality I’ve seen in a completely free game. Everything looks nice from the grass on the ground through the various monsters and even the sky. There are also weather effects like rain and thunder storms.
Sound:
The sound is perfect as well; I can’t find any disadvantages to it. Maybe it doesn’t have any or maybe I’m just unable to notice them.
Gameplay:
Silkroad online has a lot to offer and doesn’t get boring fast. I’ve been playing for hours and I still feel the magic. When was testing Hero Online, the other day this didn’t happen. I played for a couple of hours, got annoyed with it and ditched it in the darkest corners of my HDD where I put all the MMORPGs I’ve tested but didn’t quite please me.
Mounts
In Silkroad Online you can by transportation animals that will help you travel long distances. You can ride a horse when you reach level ten and there is even a quest associated with it, so you will most likely get your hands on one early in the game. Horses are cheap but there is more to it than you know. When you ride a horse it increases your defense a bit, you won’t be able to fight though, so don’t get your hopes up, there won’t be any battles from the back of a steed. In the event death (for your transport) it will disappear. The transportation “vehicle” like they call it in the game also vanishes if you get off it or log out of the game. There are no permanent mounts at this moment but the lower prices of horses compensate that.
Pets
You can have a pet fight by your side. From what I know so far you can have your pet carry items for you, it has its separate inventory. Pets usually have 3 forms and they grow bigger as they level up. At a certain point you can even mount and travel faster that way.
Weapons and Equipment
There are three types of equipment. Armor, Protector and Garment. The best for a warrior would be Armor. Garments and Protectors are suitable for people going to use magic spells. Every character can use each of these equipments regardless of the way you develop it. The trick is you can mix them. You can only have one type of armor equipped on you. There items for males and females, their characteristics are the same but they are different from each other.
The weapons you can use range from Swords, Glaives, Spears to Bows. It’s all up to you which one to use but for they have their unique differences. For example, swords and spears are suitable for spell-wielding characters while glaives and bows produce better physical damage.
Weapons and armor can be upgraded using the Alchemy skill via various tablets, ruins, etc to increase their effectiveness.
Trade
Players can open their own stalls and place items they would like to sell to other people in there. If you can be patient enough this is an efficient way to gain gold since you can sell items at higher prices than those you would get if you sold them directly to a NPC. Like in any other MMORPG you can also trade with other people in the normal way by using a command.
Story & Quests
Silkroad Online will let you travel back in time when China was the only country in the world producing the precious silk material – a time of war, conflicts and daring adventures.
The quest system is similar to this in many other online games. More quests become available to you as you level up. Keep a note on them because at some point you might loose track of them. Sometimes you may get more than one quest location at once. You heard right, you will only get a small tip as to where the quest giver NPC is, in some of the cases you might be told only a name and it would be up t
o you to find that Non Player Character if you want to undertake the mission it has to offer.
These graphics look like guild wars lol!
If your interested in this game you can get the whole game for free at xfire.com. Xfire is a instant messaging that will keep track of how many hours you have played games. Xfire has over 1,000 games it keeps track of.

Nobody knows military simulations like the world’s premier land force, the United States Army. So, when the Army began making the America’s Army game to provide civilians with insights on Soldiering from the barracks to the battlefields, it sent its talented development team to experience Army training just as a new recruit would.
Warsow is a free standalone first person shooter game for Windows and Linux. It is based on the Qfusion 3D engine (a modification of the Quake 2 GPL engine), and aimed on the competitive scene, or the e-sports community. Warsow is developped under the motto “by gamers for gamers” by a team coming from all kinds of gaming backgrounds.
Wild Metal (1999) is a 3D strategic vehicular combat game set in a distant land, in which you command armed roving vehicles to disrupt dangerous automated military units that have overtaken the Tehric planetary system. While it flew under the mainstream radar when it was originally released, it was critically acclaimed for its unique yet intuitive control schemes and its massive open world to explore.
Afterburner 3D is an excellent fanmade remake of SEGA’s classic first-person shooter Afterburner. The game features excellent 3D graphics, great special effects, and even a nice soundtrack to round things off. If you don’t have fun flying jets and shooting others down you’re just not right.
#5 Wolfenstein Enemy Territory
The year is 1943, and the Nazi War machine threatens to not crush Europe, but the rest of the world as well. Unknown to the general public, the fate of the free world often lies in the hands of a select few heroes, members of the Office of Secret Action. You are one of these legendary protectors of freedom, B.J. Blazkowicz.
Joe King is the hero of this point and click adventure. His plane is carrying actress Faye Russell when it crash lands in a remote jungle, and he must battle through 100 screens of adventure and puzzle. The game’s feel is influenced by hammy B-movies, and the characters are quite stereotyped and comic.
All 16 color backgrounds remade into stunning VGA graphics. Enhanced Close up cut-scenes and dialogue pictures help immerse you into what is known as the first plot driven chapter of the King’s Quest series.
Remember the salad days of PC gaming, when there were graphic adventures as far as the eye could see, and LucasArts actually did something besides churn out Star Wars stuff? A group of devoted fans remembers, too, and have remade one of the greatest (and funniest) games ever made.
XU4 is a remake of the computer game Ultima IV. The goal is to make it easy and convenient to play this classic on modern operating systems. XU4 is primarily inspired by the much more ambitious project Exult. XU4 is a cross-platform application thanks to SDL; it’s available for Windows, MacOS X, Linux and more.
This special version features a brand new environment, the Stadium, and a revolutionary new gameplay designed for Nadéo’s own custom cars. With the online ingame ladder, players can customise their cars and avatars and race in their nation’s colours on the world’s servers from Friday onwards.
S.W.I.N.E. is a real-time tactical strategy game in which you must carry out extremely varied missions while taking advantage of the terrain and your units’ special abilities. Your army’s abilities and strengths will then develop over the course of the game. Before and during the missions, you will also have the opportunity to purchase or sell units, and upgrade or augment them with various items of equipment.
In this top-down arcade shooter, blast away meteors and your enemies, while collecting power-ups for weapons upgrades etc. Eliminate the end level bosses to clear each level. You know the role with this. It’s basically the game you were addicted on and had the top score at your local game room.
Harmotion is an “effects” intensive player vs. player, top down 2D classic shooter (aka shmup). You face the opponent from the bottom of the screen and the objective is to outlast him/her in a short 3 minutes space fight. Each fight will be a one of a kind collaboration between the two opponents; a collaboration of sound and colors.
River Raid is a 1984 Activision game that is counted among the better shooters. After all these years it remains as a favorite and is among the first games mentioned when asked which titles are remembered most fondly. So if you’re into the old eighties shooting type games, here you go.
SWIV 3D is a 3D remake of the original SWIV. It features a voxel-based 3D engine and mission-based play, as well as a myriad of new enemies and completely new style of gameplay. It plays a lot like a typical 3D shooter: you control a helicopter which you must navigate through landscapes, all the while shooting at buildings, vehicles and other planes or helicopters and fullfilling your mission goals.
Utawareru Mono is split into adventure parts and simulation RPG sequences. You play as Hakuoro, a masked man who lost his memory as the result of some great injury that he incurred in a village on the frontier. Hakuoro is unable to remove the mysterious mask that covers his face.
One must fall is a classic example of the mid-nineties beat’em up! Its simple, fast paced and addictive. With one exception though, this one actually has some kind of plot, and a pretty detailed and interesting championship mode.
Secret Maryo Chronicles is an Open Source two-dimensional platform game with a style designed similar to classic sidescroller games. It uses the platform independent library SDL and, since version 0.98, the OpenGL accelerated Graphics Renderer.
Scorched 3D is a game based loosely (or actually quite heavily now) on the classic DOS game Scorched Earth “The Mother Of All Games”. Scorched 3D adds amongst other new features a 3D island environment and LAN and internet play. Scorched 3D is totally free and is available for both Microsoft Windows and Unix (Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Solaris etc.) operating systems. Winigolf – A minigolf game.
Another decent 3D mini-golf game with a total of 36 holes. If you like playing golf or golf games, then you’ll surely love this one. It’s really just a typical golfing game were you put around and try to make the shot.

Rock band Review
Posted in Uncategorized on November 30, 2007 by gamingmanMetallica, The Ramones, The Rolling Stones — these are some of the legendary bands in rock. And now, thanks to Harmonix’s Rock Band, you and your friends can join the legendary pantheon of rock gods. The latest game from Harmonix ups the ante on other music titles by combining guitars, drums, and singing into one awesome package. You and your friends will rock out with some of the greatest bands in history. And Fall Out Boy. While Rock Band doesn’t offer the insanely intense (and perhaps impossible) challenge of Guitar Hero III, it’s a game that everyone will have fun playing. This may just be among the best party games ever released.
The Rock Band box set comes with the game, a wired guitar, a wired mic, a wired drum kit, and a USB hub so you can plug-and-play all of these on your 360. If you want a full four-player band with bass guitarist, you’ll need to purchase a separate guitar or use one from Guitar Hero. At $169.99 and with 45 licensed tracks (and 13 bonus songs) included, Rock Band is a fairly good deal. You will certainly get your money’s worth playing the engrossing and seemingly never-ending career mode. So long as you have some friends or paid associates willing to jam, Rock Band will give you plenty of reasons to sing for joy.
Rock Band has one major difference from other music games: it’s not about one person’s experience. This is a group effort and the gameplay is geared towards teamwork. While the four members of your band must all be concerned with their own performances, you must work together to earn epic scores in Rock Band. Each instrument comes with its own Overdrive (AKA Star Power) system. Individually, they kick in a x2 multiplier for the player who enters Overdrive. But you can stack other member’s Overdrives to creative massive multipliers for the entire group. Get all four members in Overdrive at the same time for a bonus x8. To do this, though, requires communication with your other team members.
Continuing the theme of playing together, Overdrive can also be used to save a bandmate. Should your drummer perform poorly and fail out of a song, another player with sufficient energy stored up can go into Overdrive and bring their buddy back from the brink. In fact, if you want to finish a song, someone must save the failed player. The crowd won’t stand for losing the backbeat for too long. They will boo you off stage if the band member isn’t saved. If you know your guitarist has trouble with the solo in Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” you may want to save your Overdrive just in case he needs a rescue.
There are also “Unity Sections” in each song. If the guitarists and drummer nail these sections perfectly, the band earns a bonus. On select songs there are similar bonuses offered with big finishes, where the guitarists and drummer can play whatever they want to close out a song. The catch is that they each must hit the final notes of the song or forfeit the hefty bonus.
All of this pushes gamers to be a band. You aren’t punished for playing selfishly, but the rewards for being cooperative are considerable. This is a fairly unique concept for a music game — heck for any game — and it forms the foundation of Rock Band. This is not Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution, or Donkey Konga. It’s called Rock Band for a reason.
Though this is a game that works best when playing with others, there are solo career modes for mic, lead guitar, and drums. Bass solo career isn’t included for some odd reason. Solo career mode works much like Guitar Hero, where you play through a list of songs that grow progressively more difficult. It’s not a particularly inspired option, but works as a way to practice your chosen instrument for when the band gets together.
Rockin’ the Mic — Hil’s Take
Singing is a unique experience compared to the guitar and drums on Rock Band. The instrument you play has no buttons to press and doesn’t consist of hundreds of individually-counted notes. Your voice is your tool. You don’t have to be a good singer or even have the ability to reach a high octave; you just have to match the pitch line that appears on screen.
Each song is broken into phrases and your performance is measured on how well you nail each phrase. You’ll spot a small meter at the bottom of the lyrics that fills when your pitch matches the one shown on screen. Fill that meter completely before the end of the phrase and you’ll be rated “Awesome” which counts as one perfect phrase and boosts your multiplier. Where guitarists and drummers can land 200-note streaks, singers often only have 15-25 phrases available for an entire song. It should be noted that there is no penalty for singing before a note or holding it longer. This does allow for a bit of improvisation, even if it’s only minor. It also allows a singer to test for the right pitch leading into a new phrase.

Team Fortress 2 Review
Posted in Uncategorized with tags 2, fortress, game, pc, pc games, team, team fortress 2 on November 30, 2007 by gamingmanAren’t you glad Team Fortress 2 didn’t wind up looking like this? Valve has created quite a game with the long-awaited Team Fortress sequel, bearing many similarities to its predecessor, though incorporating enough changes to make it feel fresh. The most obvious aspect, which you may have noticed from any of the screens and video posted, is the visual style. Even after getting sucked into probably too many hours of play in the beta over the past few weeks, we’re still amazed at the art design, both in how it looks and how it animates.
But let’s not get too carried away with the graphics. It’s a game, after all, and the most important factor is how it plays and if it’s entertaining. It’s interesting to see both Team Fortress 2, which has been in development on and off for some seven years now, and Splash Damage’s Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, which has seen its own share of setbacks and delays, finally come out right around the same time. Their nearly simultaneous retail release presents and interesting situation for you, the consumer, as to how to spend your cash. You may fondly remember your days in Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, dropping air strikes on hapless attackers and eagerly charging into bunkers to spout forth deadly plumes of flamethrower fuel. Yet you can’t forget your days with Team Fortress Classic, or even further back with the original Team Fortress Quake mod, with its now painfully dated character models but compelling team-focused online play.
There’s really no right answer in this case as to which game is ultimately better. It’s merely personal preference. Quake Wars is assuredly the more complicated game. For those uninitiated in the ways of Enemy Territory, the scope, dynamic objectives, speed at which the tide of battle can turn and the number of things you need to quickly consider when that happens, and user interface can be rather daunting. After learning the ins and outs it’s clearly an excellent product, but it lacks that immediate, irresistible appeal so prominent in Valve’s Team Fortress 2. And accessibility may very well be the deciding factor in determining which product users prefer. Regardless, it’s an excellent time to be a gamer, since as tough as it may be to pick one or the other, making either choice rewards you with a well designed and highly entertaining title.
Like in Team Fortress Classic (TFC), Team Fortress 2 has nine character classes: Spy, Pyro, Soldier, Heavy, Medic, Sniper, Demoman, Scout and Engineer. Each class’ abilities on the battlefield have been streamlined, which, along with the graphics, is what makes Team Fortress 2 so much more accessible than TFC. No longer do you have Engineers running around with railguns and EMP grenades. Medics can’t “infect” the other team, Spies don’t have tranquilizer darts, and none of the classes have hand grenades.
In TF2, each class has roughly three main ways of attacking – a primary weapon (the Heavy’s minigun, Pyro’s flamethrower, Engineer’s sentry gun, etc.) and secondary (various classes have shotguns, others pistols, while the Demoman has a highly effective mine thrower) and melee weapons (the Scout’s bat, the Medic’s bonesaw, and so on). Though classes now possess fewer means of attacking, the resulting gameplay feels much more focused. Each class has a very clearly defined role and the means to ensure they perform successfully. The only limiting factor is, of course, how effectively your team meshes together.
If your Engineers aren’t guarding their structures, Spies can wipe them out in seconds with a few sapper charges. If your team is full of Heavies and Soldiers but lacks Medics, you’re not going to get very far. If you’re playing a capture point map without any Scouts on your team, you might as well just leave the server or start berating your squadmates until a few switch classes. The Medic, though, seems to be the hinge on which all gameplay balance swivels. For TF2 they’ve been given a health hose, which blasts out a restorative stream at friendlies within range and “sticks” to them as long as you keep the fire button depressed. As you heal injured teammates, or “overheal” to 150 percent health, an ubercharge meter builds in the bottom right of the screen. Unleashing this renders both target and Medic invulnerable for a few seconds, which is sometimes the only way to break through chokepoints populated with Heavies, Medics, and multiple tier three sentry guns.
Even though Medics may be the most vital to a team’s success, the other classes remain useful. Scouts, who are now rather deadly, are far and away the fastest, and their ability to double-jump and change direction in mid-air makes then all the more difficult to hit. Spies, in addition to being able to one-hit kill backstab the enemy, cause general chaos among enemy ranks. If your opponents know a spy is running around, they’ll waste time and lose focus by shooting at their own teammates to try and reveal a disguised culprit.
Pyros tend to be the most effective spy detectors, and can be frequently seen doing fiery pirouettes in 2Fort matches all over the beta servers, as a spy incognito will betray his cover by bursting into flames upon contact with the burning spray. In a September 26 Steam update, friendly fire was removed from TF2, which was definitely a good move. Friendly fire ruins much of the game considering the close-quarters maps combined with the wide area of effect attacks of Heavies, Pyros, Demomen, and Soldiers. Without FF, teammates are free to shoot each other, since if they bleed health, they’re a spy.

Crysis Review

Thinking about getting a new game for your computer? Do you like action packed games with guns? Then Crysis is the game for you!
Crysis is rated M for mature. In this game you have superhuman-like powers. You get superhuman strength and speed. You can also customize your weapons. The enemies can hear your footsteps so be careful!
Also you might also want to check your computer video card and make sure you have enough memory, otherwise you’ll be playing the game like a slide show. To run Crysis properly your computer must have 4GB of RAM and a 8800 GTX video card.
